Dutch soldier Rijkhaart, exiled to a deserted island for committing what was the serious crime of homosexuality, becomes attracted to and falls in love with Claas, a man who is being punished for a crime he didn't commit. It is then that Claus, struggling to survive in a closed environment, starts to delude and manipulate Ricard and the other men.
