Power Up!, a film production company in Hollywood, has successfully released streams of high quality lesbian films with the aim of raising understanding of sexual minorities, and working for the social integration of our issues. This years film festival will become host to six selected short films including Getting to Know You, a romantic comedy exploring one womas days on the pick-up scene until she fatefully finds true love, and A Woman Reported, a suspense film and 2004 Sundance Film Festival Official Selection. Power Up! Producer Lisa Thrasher and Guinevere Turner - a writer and director for as well as actress in the lesbian drama The L Word, not to mention her work in films like American Pyscho and Go fish - will be making their way to Japan just for the Festival!!
